EasyPark Temporarily Closes Entrance Access to Stairwells 24/7

EasyPark garage stairwell entries closed effective April 9th

Due to the Municipality of Anchorage’s emergency order “hunker down,” EasyPark will be expanding the garage stairwell closure to all day, 7 days per week, effective Saturday, April 9, 2020.

“Due to the low public usage of the garages throughout the day, stairwells were being used for other uses, which increased our security and janitorial call outs.” said Demetric Tuggle, Parking Director for EasyPark. “Safety is a priority for EasyPark and for our customers.”

Parking garages affected are the following: 6th & H, 7th & G, 5th & B, and JCPenney (6th & E) parking garages.

Access to your vehicles will be via the elevator lobbies for each parking garage. Elevator lobbies are located in the following areas:

• JCPenney – 6th Avenue side
• 7th & G –  G Street side
• 6th & H – G Street and H Street sides
• 5th Avenue – Corner of 5th & C

As a reminder, stairwells can still be used for exiting purposes only.
