EasyPark Alaska Introduces New Mobile Payment Option September 2024

Anchorage, AK – August 22, 2024 — EasyPark, a key provider of parking solutions in Alaska, is excited to announce the expansion of its mobile payment options with the introduction of ParkMobile, a leading provider of smart parking and mobility solutions in North America, in Anchorage in September 2024. Now, residents and visitors can enjoy enhanced convenience with ParkMobile, which offers on-demand parking payment across on-street and off-street parking spaces throughout downtown Anchorage.

In addition to ParkMobile's existing features, users now have the option to pay for parking via text. This new feature offers even greater flexibility and ease for those who prefer quick, no-frills transactions without needing a dedicated app. To pay via text, users simply need to send a text message with the zone number and desired parking duration, making the payment process faster and more accessible.

As part of this rollout, EasyPark is also updating the existing location number system used for on-street meters and EasyPark’s off-street parking lots in downtown Anchorage. This update ensures a seamless integration with the ParkMobile platform, allowing for accurate and efficient transactions. Users will notice new signage at parking locations, displaying updated zone numbers and the new mobile payment number. These changes are designed to improve user experience by simplifying the payment process and ensuring that the correct zone and duration are selected every time. Customers will be updated during September with the new location numbers.

EasyPark will continue to offer the PaybyPhone mobile parking payment app as an alternative option. This ensures that residents and visitors who are accustomed to using PaybyPhone can continue to enjoy the convenience and functionality they are familiar with. The availability of both ParkMobile and PaybyPhone reflects EasyPark's commitment to providing multiple payment options, catering to a variety of user preferences.

The app is available on both iPhone and Android devices, and can also be accessed via mobile web browsers, offering residents and visitors multiple ways to manage their parking. Mobile payment users will enter the zone number or scan the QR code found on the signs located within the parking lot or on the street meters, choose the duration of time, enter payment, and touch the “start parking” button.

With this expanded service and updated infrastructure, EasyPark continues to lead the way in modernizing Anchorage's parking system, providing innovative solutions that cater to a wide range of preferences and needs.
