Steps Taken for Emergency Order “Hunker Down”

On March 20, 2020, Mayor Berkowitz issued the emergency order of “Hunker Down” for the Municipality of Anchorage for non-critical businesses.

“During this time, the most important steps that we can take is to keep our staff safe and support Mayor Berkowitz’s “Hunker Down” order to slow down the threat of COVID-19,” said Andrew Halcro, Executive Director of ACDA.

Anchorage Community Development Authority and EasyPark will take the following actions from Sunday, March 22, 2020 until Tuesday, March 31, 2020:

• EasyPark will continue covering the Safety First line in support of the Anchorage Downtown Partnership’s Safety Ambassadors assistance. The Safety First line is 297-4471.
• All EasyPark garage gates (entrance/exit) will be lifted. Garage parking will be free.
• All EasyPark lots will be free to park in.
• Street parking will not be enforced.

EasyPark will continue to support restaurant’s requests for curb-side parking for takeout in downtown Anchorage.  Requests can be made via info@easyparkalaska.com.
