Employee Parking Program and Safety First Recognized at International Parking Conference

EasyPark was awarded the Parking Matters Marketing and Communications awards for outstanding educations outreach, marketing and communications during work on the Employee Parking Program and Safety First for downtown Anchorage. The International Parking Institute (IPI) presented the award at the recent 2017 IPI Conference & Expo held in New Orleans, LA.

"We are honored to have received this level of recognition from the parking industry," said Parking Director Brian Borguno. "The Employee Parking Program assists employees and business owners with the option of affordable parking for low income wage earners and the Safety First program has added another layer of safety for downtown Anchorage."

The Parking Matters Marketing and Communications awards program is designed to recognize outstanding parking related marketing, public relations, and communications programs and campaigns. Eligible programs use a wide spectrum of marketing tools, from advertising and public relations to collateral development, signage, special events, direct mail, video, and social media.

EasyPark's Employee Parking Program provides a 70% discount for monthly parking for low wage income earners since July 2016.  The parking program was designed to encourage use of the off street parking locations and make more space available at on street meters. To date, 500+ employees have taken advantage of using the Employee Parking Program.

The "Safety First" Program is a 24-hour call or text line manned by EasyPark which dispatches to Anchorage Downtown Partnership, ltd. Security and Maintenance Ambassadors during the hours of 5am to 9pm, 7 days a week since May 2016. The collaboration has increased safety response calls in downtown Anchorage.
