EasyPark Hosts the First Ever Outdoor Film Event on Parking Garage’s Rooftop.

The Anchorage Museum and Anchorage International Film Festival (AIFF) have partnered up to liven up the night with an outdoor film event on The Rooftop of EasyPark’s 5th & B parking garage in downtown Anchorage.

Presented in partnership with the Alaska Moving Image Preservation Association (AMIPA), the short films on 16mm appropriating Hollywood imagery include: “Alone, Life Wastes Andy Hardy” by Martin Arnold, “A Movie” by Bruce Conner, “Low Light Life” by George Kuchar, “Scorpio Rising” by Kenneth Anger, and “Perils” by Abigail Child.

“We are happy to sponsor the first ever rooftop outdoor film event in downtown Anchorage,” says Executive Director Andrew Halcro. “AIFF’s new direction is to expand the filming experience to downtown Anchorage, and we are pleased to be a host to support more activity in our City.”

Seating will be available to watch the films, Yeti Dogs, 2016 hot dog vendor of the year, will be one of the food options, and heaters will be present for those that need the extra warmth.

The free outdoor film event is sponsored by EasyPark, Anchorage Museum, and the Anchorage International Film Festival. As a reminder, 1st hour is free at the 5th & B parking garage or street parking is free after 6pm.

AIFF’s film festival continues in downtown Anchorage from December 9-11 at the Alaska Experience Theater on 4th Avenue and the Anchorage Museum. For more information about their file schedule or to purchase tickets, visit http://www.anchoragefilmfestival.org/2016/.
